SCHCA Spring Gathering

This year’s gathering will be held March 11th & 12th at the Pioneer Arena and Event Center in Muenster, TX. The goal for this year’s gathering is to provide an opportunity for association members to meet other members and provide educational sessions on relevant topics. Guest speaker topics are geared towards helping even the newest association members, but with the expertise to go in depth in their field of knowledge. The arena venue allows us to have live animals onsite for viewing and demonstrations.

Topics such as:- Animal Evaluation and Selection- Vaccinations & Deworming- Bull Evaluation and Selection- Animal Nutrition- Artificial Insemination Demo - Halter Breaking Techniques- Weaning Calves- Showmanship- Ear Tattooing- Hoof Care & Trimming Demo

Gates will open at 2 PM on Friday, March 11th, with sessions starting at 3 PM. Friday evening sessions will end at 6:30 PM to allow members to grab dinner and get checked into their hotel.

Saturday, March 12th, will start with coffee at 9 AM. Educational sessions will run throughout the day, with a break for lunch, and then we will release midafternoon so everyone may get ready for that evening's mixer and dinner. Dinner will include guest speakers and our association’s silent auction fundraiser.

If you have friends new or interested in the Highland breed, this is a great opportunity for them to get up close and personal and expand their knowledge. Attendees must be current SCHCA members. Current members may sponsor friends for $15 or non-members may purchase a new membership for $30 at
