Do I need to bring an animal?
Yes, a younger calf through older is allowed (weanlings up to 2-years old; heifer or steers). If for some reason you don’t have an animal and are wanting to learn, there may be an opportunity to practice with an extra calf. Please contact us in advance for this consideration.
We just got our animal. Should we still come?
Halter broken is Required. We realize that some calves may be greener broke to walking and showing and this is new for everyone. We are here to learn and grow through the experience. Come with your best attitude. We want the kids to have the best possible experience!
Do parents need to stay?
No. However, they can stay if they choose. Please keep in mind that lunch is provided to youth attending the clinic. If parents are interested in joining, lunch will need to be RSVP'd in advance. Payment for additional lunches can be made online or in-person at registration. Attendees must be picked up at time of conclusion of the clinic. For some activities it may be asked that parents watch from a distance to allow for optimal learning opportunities between the instructors and youth.
